Re: Alfa Restorations

There's been some discussion lately regarding cost of restoring an Alfa.
First, I'll admit this discussion is near and dear to my heart and my
question is admittedly self-serving, but...

Would those who've gone through the restoration process in say the past
5 years or so, respond as to what it cost them? It's somewhat of a
personal question, but feel it could help other's contemplating a
restoration. It would help to know what the shop did, what you handled
yourself, were you satisfied with the end result, how long did it take,
what kind of shape was the car in before starting, and what is the year
and model?

I might add, I don't consider a paint job a restoration, unless the car
was otherwise perfect.
