never.  i think it was i who mentioned the belt as a potential failure
point, but i've only ever seen one broken on a friends car, (the cause was a
dropped nut!).  i've probably got 250,000 miles or more that i've driven on
spica cars that i've owned.  the spica belts seem to be as reliable as the
rubber carb mounts ;)

i guess if i had to point at a problem area on the spica system it would be
the t/a.
