tunnel slap



Another possible source of tunnel slap in the rear suspension, other than
worn springs, might be worn trunnion and trailing arm bushings.  That would
allow the rear axle to shift left and right, bringing the rear half of the
driveshaft closer to the tunnel.

My former Giuila TI had moderate tunnel slap on steep uphill roads while
turning sharply, which I recall was fixed by a new rear transmission mount.
