Rustproofing Spider

Hi,
I have been hearing alot about people scraping off old insulation on their Spider to rustproof recently,  and needing to do this myself before the rainy season starts on my Duetto,  I would like to know people's thoughts about what rustproofers have been the best for them.  The VW freak next door claims that Por-15 rust paint is great,  while the tech guy at IAP thinks that a product from Griot's Garage is all that I need.  I personally,  was attracted to some of Eastwood's products after someone who already did this work recommended them.  I don't want to mess this up, so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
