After reading for years about how much of a pain removing the head can be,
I finally got the nerve to attempt it on my spider.  Low and behold, it came
off 
very easy.  I was expecting that I would need to buy the special head tool or 
do the chain fall trick.  All I had to do was soak the studs and block with
liquid wrench then lightly tap with my rubber hammer in a couple of spots, and
bingo, it came right off.  sometimes life is good.
