Rodney,

I have maintained and developed a race car in the distant past (a FProd
Giulietta Veloce Spider and an EProd Duetto), am still a fairly
competant, though lazy, mechanic, and a thoroughly competant cook. In
my experience, anyone who can wrench can cook and vice versa.

So, while your lady may not want to cook, if she can wrench
competantly, she can cook competantly.  And the same it true for you.
