When I purchased my Saab in '92, I had the car PermaPlated (didn't
really believe the dealer propaganda, but figured it was good insurance,
just in case.) The car is a bright red- almost rosso :-), and in spite
of it rarely being garaged, enduring the California sun, it's aged
incredibly well. One caveat- you do need to apply the PermaPlate
renewer or have the car polished every six months, otherwise the paint
will start to oxidize.

In comparison to similarly aged Saabs, I'd have to say that Laszlo looks
excellent. I recently had him detailed, and he looked almost brand new.
Of course, this may also be because I am a complete nutcase who always
hand washes and routinely polishes/ details my cars :-)
