Metal for Exhaust Manifold

Does anyone out there know If I can use BLACK PIPE in an Exhaust Manifold (for
a Turbo) I need to cut the one I have in half and extend it only about 1.5
inches.  I can't tell what type of steel they used, but it is black, and
thicker than normal tailpipe.  Black Pipe is for Steam use and has a pretty
high PSI rating.... but if you can answer this post you would already know
that ;)
