Welty Fund + Sea Story

Any surplus in the Welty Fund should be used to send Alfa Bill to
Tahiti.

The sea story part of it is - a friend sailed single handed around the
world in '61-62 in a ~ 34' sloop.  He was stuck (pun intended) in Tahiti
to repair his boat.  Sent me a post card of a bare-breasted Tahitian
honey with the message -  "the girls here are kind of ugly but they sure
are friendly".  "And they really like country music" - Bill be sure to
bone up on western swing before you go.

Alfa content - Brop, my sailor friend drove my very first '59 Alfa
spider and son David, you actually met this character in Coronado.  He
played guitar for us.

Kind of depressing to see the lack of support for the digest.  I always
try to say that Alfa folks are "frugal", not cheap.  The AD jury is
still out.
