I doubt it would be economically feasible.  Only about 28,000 Alfa Spiders
(750 & 101) were made.  While something like 400,000 MGB roadsters were
made.  And, the British MGB owners are amazingly fanatical about them.  So,
when the opportunity to use the original bucks came along, there was already
a great built in need right there.  And, don't forget, these bucks only date
from the 80's, not the 60's.

FYI you can buy a complete MGB tub with modern rust proofing for $5,000 US.
