Re: Exhaust temp over device

Save the headache and just disconnect the temp warning light system. It's worthless
anyway.

I just installed a completely custom exhaust system in my 82 Balocco (with new 3.0
engine) and didn't even make a provision for the silly sensor.

Catalytic converters don't usually go bad unless your fuel mixture is WAY off. As such,
the best sensor you can have down there is the O2 sensor which is already there. Buy an
inexpensive air/fuel mixture gauge (which simply taps into the wire from the O2 sensor)
so that you can monitor your fuel system. If the mixture is fine, your Cat will be fine
(unless of course you drive over a parking block or hit a speed bump at mach 10).
