spider trans.



Hi Ed,
I'm also interested to know what the point of that throttle cable is - I've
always wondered, and kind of passed it off as one of those things that gives
"character".
I don't quite see what the connection between a blown head gasket and the
transmission is, except as a general indication of the condition of the car.
I'm assuming the engine is still in, and that the car is still in one piece.
Why not try starting it and driving it? Alfas still run with a blown head
gasket, so you should be able to drive it enough to be able to judge the
condition of the trans.
