Alfa, Fiat, Volvo

Today, Sunday, Swedish media reports that Mr Agnelli of Fiat 
confirms that Volvo and Fiat are meeting to talk about a possible 
merger or joint-venture. 

Sources claim that Fiat wants to enter the US again, using the 
Volvo distribution channels. In Europe, Fiat would gain from the 
safety reputation of Volvo. Volvo would get (Fiat)  models in the 
small car market segment. Swedish sources also confirm that Fiat 
people have been in Gothenburg during the last months, spending 
lots of time together with Volvo directors.

How about that, US-Alfisti. Getting access to Alfa Romeo through 
the Volvo dealers?
