Spider Tach problem

Nick,
If you do decide to take the tach off, it's pretty straightforward. All you
have to do is undo a small bolt under at the bottom of the pod, which
loosens the front (hooded) part of the unit, and then undo the two screws
that hold the tach in. Then unscrew the cable, disconnect the light and any
other stuff, and it's off. At least this is what I did for the speedo, so I
assume the tach is the same.

But as for me, I will watch expectantly for the ALFA

"I have recently purchased my first Alfa. An '84 Spider Veloce.
Among other
problems, the Tach needle starts at the 12 o'clock position and
runs clockwise.
(From top of the graduations into oblivion). Is it possible that
the unit is
installed 180 out? The PO claims he thought it was just broken and
never
worried about it (?) I would like to red line it without worrying
to much about
	blowing it up.

Any votes for take the dash apart and turn the thing over?
Any votes for it really is broken, get a new one?
