Milano - Volvo Redux?

Hmm, according to this speculation, we may see the Mivolvo yet! . . .

Lehman Brothers analyst Joseph Phillippi said excess vehicle capacity
around the world is driving the smaller and medium-sized companies to
reconsider their long-term viability as the industry gets more competitive.

Phillippi said a Ford-Volvo combination could be possible, but he said a
merger between Volvo and Italy's Fiat SpA (NYSE:FIA - news) makes a lot of
sense because there is next to no product overlap and Volvo's solid dealer
and distribution system would allow Fiat a way back into the U.S. market.
