You can disconnect the separator and run a hose from the cam cover directly to the airbox, or simply let it
hang. Cap off the other hoses that run to the air inlet and dipstick area.
This is basically a PCV setup with a oil separator and return system. When they cease to function properly the
actually can cause oil leaks due to unvented pressure. The actual canister may be full of big chunks of rust
and gunk. You can always put it all back at restoration time meanwhile you do not need it as it is setup.
