33 strut bearings

There are 2 different kinds of strut pan bearing, but
I think they switched over at a particular date. My
old 1988 Sportwagon had the yellow nylon race
strut pan bearings (I believe they are shared with
the 164?).

Changing these is quite easy. Probably best the =

release the first bit of tension on the centre nut
with the strut still on the car. You will need some =

spring compressors. Check the condition of the
actual strut pans and spring retainers as these
can rust and you don't want to have to pull the struts
off a week later!
