With regard to the GTV parking lite socket and broken wires, I have been
succesful in the past by taking an inline fuse holder and dissecting it.  Cut
the wire in half so you have two metal contacts and throw away the spring .
These contacts with the wire attached are now your new contacts for the bulb
and can be soldered onto the wires after placing in the bulb contact plate.
Good luck and do not forget to grease the contacts so as to avoid future
corrosion.
