Rebuild.

Your first sentence (above) gives you the answer to removing the cocked piston
(second sentence, above). Do the same thing that "got you into this mees in
the first place." Block the other piston, make sure all the other wheels have
pads, bleed the air out, etc. Jump on the brake pedal and it SHOULD pop right
out.

Then, assuming things are OK (no scoring, etc.), rebuild the caliper. Go for
broke and do the other side too, as long as you're at it. Maybe all four
corners, just for good measure. You know, keep things even all 'round.
