Re: oil dip stick location



I just checked the 3 SPICA 115 engines that I have out of cars and 2 that are
in cars and 2 115 upper oil pans that I have on the shelf - they all have a
dip stick in the upper pan on the drivers side not the block.

I also checked the 2 SPICA 116 2000 engines I have in cars and one out of a
car - they all have a dip stick in the oil pan on the drivers side.  Also
checked the 116 2000 Euro engine in the car - dip stick is in the timing cover
- - passengers side.

Just for grins I checked the 2 1750 EURO engines (not SPICA) and two loose
upper pans for 1750 - they all have the dipstick in the timing cover -
passengers side.

Didn't look at the 750 1300 but believe it has the dip stick in the block -
passengers side

      Spica cars have the oil dipstick hole and fitting on the left side of 
      the block (behind and below the alternator), not the oil pan, as 
      previously mentioned. >>
