1 bar = atmospheric pressure = 14.7 psi.

Understandable that Steffi and Jochen from Germany wouldn't know, since
they don't use pounds or inches, but anyone who had a high school physics
course in the US should have heard this.  

By the way, lots of US tire gauges are marked in bars, as well as psi.
