Hi Harald,

I'd recommend the Kenlowe engine heater. I put one in my dad's Misubishi
Pajero (sigh), and it has worked very well for two years now. In fact, it's
so good, that my dad uses it summer and winter, as the Pajero has a biiiggg
diesel engine that's very slow to heat up from cold.
It consists of a heater element, a thermostat and a small pump, all in one
body. It's quite simple to fit, the only possible pain in the you-know what
is priming the pump and getting all the air from the system.
Before the Kenlow system he had a swedish system, which was said to be
fitted to volvo's (obligatory volvo content) by the factory and was three
times as expensive as the kenlowe hotstart. This consisted of a heater
element only, relying on thermosyphoning to get the hot water to the engine
block. It failed after about one year through serious corrosion. Guess
which system I'd recommend.
