Q1 - Cat & chips

Anyone out there have any experience of 'chipping' a UK 33 16v (with cat)?
Would it be worthwhile without fitting a 'performance' cat?
Anyone know how much difference a 'performance' cat reeeaallly makes?

Q2 - Immobilisers

Are there any particular types of immobiliser systems to avoid / not avoid
for a UK 33 16v?
(Knowing typical alfa wiring / electrics, this is a worry to me!!)
