re:1969 GT Veloce Rear Quarter Panel - Size

John

The rear panel, that is, approximately a cut parallel to the line of the
trunk opening rear edge, is the same for all of the Giulia GT/GTV,Jr and
the 1750 GT Veloce which ended its run in 1972. The later panels (c1972
on)are different : the 2000 GT Veloce came out with bigger tail light
assemblies so the holes are bigger. You'll notice that there was an overlap
of the two models in 1972. There are differences in the shape of the rear
wheel arches but I presume that this is forward of the area you're talking
about.

By the way, many of the repair panels that we need for GTVs are being
reproduced here in New Zealand and recently I repaired the lower front
section of the rear fender/mudguard just behind the rocker/sill panel of my
'64 Giulia Sprint GT by welding in a new piece fabricated here. The wheel
opening and everything else lined up sweet. I just know these people by a
voice over the phone but they seem pretty clued up.

Major repair panels are also available here in fiberglass, complete nose
panel etc etc - very nicely made, unlike some of the rough pieces we've
seen from Italy and some places.
