MC rebuilding
Alfisti
I have a spare master cylinder (MC) from a Milano that I am thinking of
rebuilding. This MC is also used on the GTv6 (81 on), 2000 Spiders (71-94)
and the Alfeta (75-80). I know it only cost around $100.00 new, but I'd
like the idea of rebuilding something. I've got to start somewhere small
before I move on to something big, like the engine for example, so it might
as well be an MC. I have already taken it apart. Rubber parts are
deteriorated, but bore and other metal parts are ok. My question is does
anyone know where I could buy a re-build kit for this MC.
Update:
Last weekend I replaced 4 ball joints (OCAP) and the front shocks (Bilstien)
on my Milano.
Next on the list is replacing the rear self-leveling shocks also with
Bilstiens and stock springs.
I got good deals (at least I think so) both on the shocks ($297) and ball
joints ($96). I also found a source for Lemforder ball joints, but for me
it was too late, I had already bought mine when I found the place.
Replacing the rear bearings is also on the list next. If anyone has an
advice or a warring, please speak now.
Thanks.
