Gislaved makes studded snow tires, Nord Frost II. I have now second
set of them in my car. The previous set was in my rwd Alfa 90 and now
I'm using a new set in my fwd Citroen. The grip is good, felt maybe
even better in Alfa. I used them for three winters in Alfa and that is
about the maximum time, I think, they are usable. Nokia Hakkapeliitta
1 and Viking something are also a pretty good studded snow tires
according to finnish car magazine tests. If you are into non-studded
tires, Nokia Hakkapeliitta NRW and Bridgestone Blizzak have got good
reviews in finnish car magazines.
