Actually, Sean, your observation sounds pretty good. One thing I did not mention
because I figured it had nothing to do with the oil pressure is that I have been
having a problem with the starter on that car for about a week now. I would start the
car and it will fire instantly, drive for a little while, shut it off, then try to
restart but nothing but the fuel pump can be heard. Then I'd take out a big spanner,
wack the starter a few times in an attempt to unstick it (works pretty well with my
TV) and that seamed to do the trick. Other times I will try to start the car and hear
the starter crancking unevenly as if it is 'sticking.' It is quite possible that in
one of my wacking episodes I messed up the fuel pressure guage.
I will go attempt to check this out while I still have light. Thanks for the speedy
reply.
