1/2 lap

for those that care,

in just a couple of hours i'll be embarking on 1/2 lap of america.  my
steed - a 20 year old alfetta sedan.  the route?  who knows, probably most
direct from san jose to boston, one quick stop in sacramento to visit mr
williams, then i'll be challenging the haunted i80.  there won't be any
daily web page updates, no fishing stories, no progress updates to the
digest - if you ain't drivin' you're not making progress..

my only concession to luxury will be to stop and sleep every night.
