Giulietta Brake conversion

Does anyone have experience converting drum to disc brakes. I understand that
Girling discs are literally a bolt on. What parts are required, are new rotors
still available? Can the calipers still be rebuilt? I would be interested in
buying the parts...
What about later ATE discs. They claim to be a bolt on with the mounting
bracket from Centerline, but I have heard that there are problems and the
steering geometry is effected. Any info, experience is greatly appreciated
