Duetto - Convertible Frame Question

The top on my Duetto has become difficult to fasten at the front. Upon
inspecting the frame I discovered that the pins on the main pivot that
should be pushing the frame out as its lifted have fallen out. Even if I
find them how do I reattach them? glue? welding?
