Milano: ARC relates to dash dimmer

Someone within the last couple of months posted a question about the
relationship between the bottom left (exterior lighting) warning light
on the ARC of his milano and the dash dimmer switch.  I have now
experienced this.  The only other experience I had with this warning
light was when an exterior bulb was blown.  Now, when the headlights are
on and the dash dimmer is on bright, the warning light illuminates.  I
can make the warning light go off by dimming the dash lights.

To the person who posted the question:  What replies did you get?  To
anyone else:  Do you know how to fix this?
