Help with 85 Graduate

Greetings

We just bought an '85 Graduate Spider and it appears that for various
reasons the previous owner went through the whole car and disconnected
everything, and then reconnected only the vital organs...
I have been able to reconnect most things however, I cannot seem to be able
to get two things working:

- - The horn (has a new relay). How should I go about troubleshoting it?  
- - The interior lights when the doors open (they work when I manually turn
them on)

Trying to fix the car a bit, I ordered a set of the original "chrome
mirrors".  One was new but the other used.  Does anyone know what type of
material is the mirror backing (the side that gets beat by the wind)?
Also, does anyone have an extra rubber seal I could buy (the black piece
that goes between the door and the mirror on the driver's side?)
