Had/have something similar with my '70 Giulia 1300 TI. There appears to be no
draining hole near the place I found the wet isolation-matting under my
carpets. however, I know there are some ventilation-holes coming directly from
the ventilation rosters, just in between my front window and the engine-
compartment. They were both on the drivers side and the passenger-side. What
happens is when it rains vertically on my car, the rain enters the ventilation
holes without a problem. In fact, if you lay down on your back, sticking your
head under the steering wheel or under the glove compartment you can
ACTUALLY SEE THE SKY, THE CLOUDS, THE BIRDS ETC!!

I solved this by sticking a cloth in the holes and occasionally check them.
But I was really amazed by this design: doesn't it ever rain in Arese, I
wonder? :-) Anyway, the people from Alfa Romeo apperantly noticed this
problem also because my previous '76 Giulia Nuova Super did not have this
problem and strange ventilation mechanism. So I don't think this would
be the same with your GTV6, but you never know. The guys who designed the
GTV6 were not the same as the people who designed the GTV6.
Stick your head under the glove department or throw a bucket of water on your
car and see what happens.

As for me, I still have to remove the wet isolation matting soon.
*sigh* Should have done it when I discovered it...

Good luck!

Well, over here in Holland it's raining cats & dogs for 2 weeks now. And
it doesn't look like its ever gonna stop... :-(
