Lightened 2nd gear, anyone done this?

     I would like to hear from anyone who has actually had a gearbox 
     rebuilt using a "lightened 2nd gear".
     
     Where did you get the gear lighten?
     
     What was the outcome? 
     
     Was it worth the extra cost? (how much $$$)
