RE: Milano clicking instead of starting.



Adam,
check the battery keeps its charge when turning the engine over. I spent a
year checking everything from the Jetronic Relay to the fuel pump when my
car failed to start intermitantly. It turned over but wouldn't 'catch'. It
wasnt until the battery completely packed up that it became obvious it
wasn't holding its charge under load, and I just got a click and a few
surprising buzzing noises from the dash. (standing voltage was fine,
charging voltage was fine). I don't think the fuel injection kicks in at all
unless the supply voltage is above 10.5 volts either (not sure about that
figure but remember it being quite high compared to other cars).
I don't profess to be an expert but the simplest things can always be
overlooked !
