164 Temp Sensor

Re Rich's question re Air Temp Sensor in Radiator Shroud for 164, I don't
have the VW # but the Behr # is 817003000 for switching at 85 & 93C. You can
get switches that open earlier but this temperature seems to do the job
well. The switch is the same size as almost every late model Golf and many
Audis and perhaps others. Don't forget you have to modify the harness
slightly with the black wire to the + terminal and the other two as you
choose. (Ted in Vancouver, BC, who has been running at the right temperature
all summer.)
