In AD7-069 Paul A. Shelton asks for recommendations for a good body shop in
the Hampton Roads, Virginia area (Norfolk, VA Beach, Hampton, Portsmouth),
specifically for repairs to rust damage to the rockers and rear valence on an
'84 Spider.

Without disparaging the value of the invaluable digest as an international
information source, there is a lot to be said also for mining the collective
experience of the local Alfa community. The Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the AROC
has a very active subchapter in the Hampton Roads, Virginia area, meeting on
the third Monday of every month, (call Shawn Garrity at 757-424-6169 for
information, and/or contact the MAARC membership chairman Bill Bean,
(wbean@domain.elided or at 757-460-1326 .) The chapter membership kit includes
recommendations for body shops in Newport News and Virginia Beach, but
relative merits for specific types of problems is something probably best
discussed in convivial company with appropriate nourishment.
