Hey, 

 Hope you can find a $500.00 Alfa for your friend's U.S. tour. 
If he has to default to an American built car I would suggest an 
80's Chrysler "K" model or a 80's or 90's Olds Cutlass or a Ford Taurus 
if easy parts availability is the goal. How many Vista Cruiser parts do 
you really think you could find?
