On the same vein of problems, my 92 164L also shows the same readings,
however, now that it is getting warmer on the southern hemisphere,
although I had taken as normal the High Temp readings I also get a red
Temp Light if I stop the car and then after 5 minutes I restart it. In
fact I just did that and the Red Light stayed on for 30 secs.
I do not know what to do in such case, because I figure the reading is
somewhar influenced by the fact that the coolant and the Fan stopped
running when I stopped the engine. The book says STOP THE CAR
INMEDIATELY when you have the red light, however I am positive that If I
leave ti running for some 10 or 30 secs, the light will go off because
the coolant will start circulating through the radiator and the
temperature will drop down... Chicken and Egg problem, Alfistis with any
experience welcome!
Thanks much
Pierre
