I remember reading about the 1 lap. On Tom Zat's web page
http://www.alfaheaven.com/index.html there is a Milano listed:

1987 Milano ~ZARDA1169H7052133 blue/gray, auto show car, press car, One 
Lap of America second overall, original, excellent condition, custom 
Momo wheels, log book estimated value $15,000 - $20,000

The price does seem a little steep even considering such a glorious history.
