Super snakes: The Catarsi version

In Giancarlo Catarsi's book 'Alfa Romeo Giulia' ('Cars that made history'
series) and in pp 38-41 there are 7 pics of a seemingly restored 'Giulia
Super prima serie' which show a green Biscione on the rear pillars. One of
the pics is a close-up of the rear pillar and the (green) snake, with the
caption 'il tipico Biscione sul montante posteriore'. Its not clear if
tipico is used as in 'tipico for Alfa' or as in 'tipico for the Super'.

In the same book and in p.68 there are 2 period shots of Supers:
One shows 'l'edizione 1969 della Giulia Super' and the other shows a
Carabinieri version. Both cars have 'il Biscione' in the rear quarter pillars.

In p.70 there are 2 period shots of a Giulia 1600 S and there is no Biscione.

On p.80 there is the '72 Super which has no Biscione.
