Alternative Spark Plugs for 33 1.7 16V

Hello Alfisti,

Do anyone have a suggestion for alternative spark plugs for a 1.7 16V
boxer to the original supplied through the Alfa Romeo Ricambi? Any long
term experiences with other type spark plugs, wear and failures, also
solution to the "slim" design 16mm problem. Old Lodge 25HL plugs were
19mm I belive, such that there would be a problem getting them in place.
Not much space for changing spark plugs on these cars! Original plugs is
stated to last 100,000 km, alternative spark plugs may not last that
long, however might be a lot cheaper thus making the total service cost
lower. Bought 4 original spark plugs for another 33 1.7 16V earlier this
year in Germany and paid approx. DM 47 for each.
