Concours Italiano and color question

The afterglow of the Monterey Weekend is still with me, what a great
experience the Concours Italiano was. Any event that has million dollar
historic racers sharing the green with tatty production Fiats is my kind of
event. There was something for everyone. I had the chance to renew
acquaintances and make new friends, meet stars and simply bask in the glow
of hundreds of beautiful Italian machines. I fell in love, I hope my wife
(and Uva) will forgive me, with the most jewel-like Moretti. I hope I get
to see it again next year.
Steve Schaeffer was right about Keith Martin, a more knowledgeable and
courteous host could not have been found. The perfect MC. Anyway, I'm sure
that those of you that didn't get to go don't want to be told what a great
event you missed, but I won't miss it next year. This was my second year
attending (and showing). I missed last year due to business commitments but
never again!
Now to the real question. Those of you who have visited the web site or
seen my 66 GT Veloce (Uva Bella) know that it is a rather unusual color,
purple. Aramanth Violet to be precise. I picked this color just cause I
thought it would look nice on the car and be a bit different. I wasn't too
concerned that this was not a factory color as my car was not a
restoration, just a fun racer/street car. While we were at CI, and I was
drooling over the Moretti at the other side of the green, someone, perhaps
a Digesti, made a comment to or near my wife that there is an actual
factory color very near the purple that Uva wears. He said that it was
called 'Pluma'. I was surprised to say the least. A factory purple? It
sounded plausable, 'Pluma' could be Italian for plum, but my Italian
dictionary doesn't list the word (I tried a couple of other spellings too).
Plum in Italian is 'Prugna'. Does anyone know if there was a factory
purple? What years was it offered, and what is the name?
Thanks in advance for any input.
