help w/ spider antenna

     I've had my spider about 2 years and love it.  Now though, it is 
     starting to need some little repairs that hopefully I can do myself 
     with a little coaching from the experts.  My pesky antenna refuses to 
     go down!  I can hear the motor trying everytime I turn the radio on & 
     off, but it is stuck!  Is there any hope of me repairing it myself?  
     If so how?
