...So the cop says to the kinda disheveled motorist, "Excuse me, sir,
but I see your eyes are bloodshot. Have you been drinking?"

The motorist fixes him with an owlish glare, and replies,"Well e'scuse
ME, Ossifer, but your eyes are GLAZED. Have you been eating donuts?"

I suggested something offline to Karl Chen that nobody's brought up
here, by way of explaining the fabled-but-observable attraction of
policemen to donuts: that they're cheap, portable and tasty (the
donuts, that is), that they're the perfect accompaniment to coffee,
and that a cop in a donut shop can be back on the road almost
instantly if he's called, whereas getting disentangled from even a
McDonald's would likely be more time-consuming.

Just a thought. Oh, the Milano's running great (Alfa content).
