I had a prolem on my Sprint where the cable stretched to the point where
it would only release one of the 2 catches. As far as I know, there is no=

emergency release. However, if you climb over the rear seats I think you
can release each of the catches with a screw driver. It may well be
easiest to try and find the remains of the cable .
