Rescued: 1979 Alfetta

Hi all,

The bug of multiple Alfa ownership has struck again. On the weekend I
rescued a 1979 Alfetta, mostly because I couldn't stand the sight of it
being neglected on the side of the road. Mechanically, it's in pretty
good shape, with a recently rebuilt (liners, bearings etc) bottom end,
but it's ummm "Cosmetically challenged". ie some rust, but no more than
my old 1979 Toyota Corona The interior is ok, but it really needs new
seats. I've bought it basically as a project car, with a view to making
my daily driver. It might eventually see some track time.

The big question is: what's out there in the way of manuals. I've got a
mechanical units manual which covers all the running gear on all
transaxles, but the 4-cylinder engine is new to me. It's a 2 litre with
twin Dellortos. I'll obviously be getting Haynes, but is anybody
familiar with the reprint of the 1974-77 Alfetta workshop manual? Does
it cover the 2.0? What's the quality like (I've heard the illustrations
are a bit suspect, being a reprint from microfiche)?

Thanks in advance,

Tony
