New B.A.T. design

Hey, I was slumming in the "old cars" section of the magazine rack (you
know, where they tell you how to restore your Packard or other old boat)
when the cover of one yelled out to me. *Exclusive New Design* *Alfa Romeo
B.A.T. 11dk*

Well, after purchasing said issue of "Car Collector" magazine, I enjoyed a
fine article about this car. It seems that last fall there was a tribute to
Franco Scaglione in the Italian village where he chose to live out his life.
A 33 Stradale was there, on loan from the Museo, and a bevy of other
Scaglione designed cars, Alfa and otherwise. It was at this event that Dr.
Gary Kaberle, former owner of B.A.T. 9d, told the story of how he came to
own the car, and eventually how he sold it to finance cancer treatment for
his wife. In appreciation of how one car could give his wife a few extra
years, Dr. Kaberle is now going to construct a new B.A.T. car, dubbed the
B.A.T. 11dk (the dk is for his wife, Deb Kaberle). The design is very
bat-like, and was well received.
I'd post this article and the pics somewhere, but it seems our website has
used up it's bandwidth this month....
