I have read the archived articles for
installation tips.  As one article said "it's a lot of work for a $15
part."  
What?  You want it to cost more!  C'mon, this is an Alfa group!  ;-)

Most articles recommend disconnecting the rear end (i.e., the
shocks, sway bars and trailing arms).  But since the trunnion pivots up and
down why can't you just remove the nut that secures the bolt to the
differential, pull the bolt out, and push the trunnion up to replace the
bushings.  Since it sounds to easy it probably won't work but why not???
You can try this.  My recollection is that the bushing sticks out on both 
sides of the trunion, so you need to swing the axle out of the way enough to 
clear the bushing.  It sounds crazy, but there's not a lot of side play on the 
axle with all the hardware connected.  When I did mine, I was replacing the 
swaybar, springs and shocks anyway.  So I didn't have a problem.  But try it.  
You've got nothing to loose.  If you don't have enough play, start by 
disconnecting the swaybar links.
