RE: [alfa] 164 electrical problem
In my experience, the security system on the 164 can be a major drain on the
battery. So, one test is to turn off the security system and see if the
battery drain problem improves. On the 91-93 versions, turning off the
security system will also disable remote control locking.

Subject: [alfa] 164 electrical problem
Hi all:
Anyone have an idea where and how to start trouble shooting a major battery
drain problem? If the car sets for 4 or 5 days, the battery goes completely
dead. Any obvious places to start looking? No obvious drains noticed like
lights staying on anywhere. Have VT/VM meter handy. Thanks for any helpful
info.
Also, will be selling this nice car soon before I move overseas. Green, good
shape, formerly belonged to Alfa rep, nice extras---$4000.
